Take Pride, Leave Cigarettes
Cessation with dignity, for Healthy Chicago

Smoking cessation for LGBTQ-identified women of color, for the Chicago Department of Public Health's Healthy Chicago program. The rhetorical move is a swap: take one identity marker, leave the other. Take pride. Leave cigarettes. Pride and smoking don't go together, and not smoking is something you can be proud of.
No scolding, no tar-stained lungs; the campaign photography holds its subjects the way pride photography does. Transit, print, digital, with the quitline in the layout: 1-866-QUIT-YES. American Graphic Design Award, 2014.
